The Hang Over | Remix Competition

1. How do I enter this remix competition?

Follow the three simple steps outlined on the competition page.

Step 1: Download the complete track "The Hangover" and all the stems located on the SoundCloud widget at the bottom of the competitions page.

Step 2: Create your own remix of the track using whatever software and or instruments that you want. Just remember, it must be your own remix. No samples, loops, or songs from any other artists maybe used unless they are royalty free.

Step 3: Complete the short online entry form located at the top right of the competitions page and submit your remix to my SoundCloud dropBox located just below the entry form.

2. Can I use samples of any other music and or snippets of films within my remix?

No. No samples from any music or films that is not royalty free can be used to create your remix. You need to own the entire rights to your remix.

3. Does the remix have to be a specific genre?

No. Your remix can be an existing genre or even a made up style/genre that you have created.

4. How long does my remix need to be?

Your remix can be any reasonable length, I would suggest 3 minutes minimum and 6 minutes maximum.

5. Who will own the rights to my remix?

If your remix is selected as the winner of the competition you will be expected to sign a Musicians Union standard templated song share agreement stating a split of all proceeds from the remix in being 50% yours, 25% PDB Productions and 25% Esstar (The featuring artist).

6. If my remix wins how do I recieve the £50.00?

If your remix wins the competition you shall be contacted to be notified and to obtain either your bank account details or the email address associated to your PayPal account. The £50.00 will then be paid via direct bank transfer straight into your bank account or transfered by PayPal directly into your PayPal account.

7. What releases will my remix be featured on?

The winning remix will be featured on "PDB Productions The Annual 2012 (released in December) & as the bonus track on esstars next CD (Name & release date to be confirmed)

8. Where will the tracks be released?

The winning remix and the project it is featured on will be released onto over 30 plus online retailers across the web including iTunes, Amazon mp3, Spotify and Last fm.

9. Will i be allowed to release my remix myself as well as with PDB Productions?

Yes. Absolutley you can self release your remix too (its all exposure right) All you would need to do is notify us with where you intend on releasing it.

10. What is the deadline for submitting my remix?

The deadline for all remix entries is Saturday 31st March 2012

11. When will you announce the winning entry?

The winning remix will be announced exactly one week from the competition deadline being Saturday 7th April 2012.

12. How do you notify the winners?

We notify EVERYONE who has entered the remix competition who the winning entry is by email. The results will also be plublished on the PDB Productions Facebook Page and the PDB Productions Twitter Profile. The winning entry will also be notified by text message and phone call.
